Changelog

What shipped, and when.

deoxy is built in the open. Every meaningful change lands here, newest first. Looking ahead? See the roadmap.

  1. Always-on cloud read mapping

SRA BAM mapping jobs now start immediately and run in parallel across dedicated workers, with shared reference caching for repeat jobs.

  2. Cloning workflows

Restriction, Gibson, Golden Gate assembly, and codon optimization workflows are now available. Each operation creates a new document with full provenance tracking.

  3. Embedded genome map in the editor

The editor now includes a linear genome map view at low zoom levels, using the same annotation renderer as the standalone genome tab.

  4. Chromosome-scale genome import

GFF3 import from NCBI now supports chromosome-scale genomes, including progress tracking during import.

  5. CSV import & export

CSV export now covers annotations, primers, restriction sites, and variants. Annotation CSV import validates coordinates against the reference on the way in.

  6. Protein structure prediction

Protein structure prediction is now available through ESMFold and AlphaFold database lookup.

  7. Import from NCBI, ENA, UniProt & Ensembl

Accession-based import is now available for NCBI, ENA, UniProt, and Ensembl.

  8. SRA variant calling, coverage & consensus

SRA read mapping now generates variants, coverage tracks, and consensus sequences.
